The Good, the Bad & the Ugly

THE BAD... Mr. K. mentioned to me last night that his car is drifting to the right and the steering wheel needs to be to the left to keep it straight. This less than two weeks of bringing the car in for a routine tire rotation. I really didn't want to pay to fix it but better to fix it then let it get worse and affect other things. I have scheduled an appointment this morning to take the car in. I also found out that it can be serviced at the Honda dealership (it's an Acura CSX). So, that saves us a little bit of money: $10.00 or so, every penny counts.

THE UGLY...At the same time I am going to have the collision centre take a look at the damage that was done a few weeks ago in my parents driveway when one of their friends forgot the car was there and rubbed off the paint. The first quote was $457.00 (ouch) which we will be paying ourselves, we didn't think it would be much so we told my parents' friends that it was okay. lesson learned never assume how much something will be. Even if we shared the repair bill, anything to lessen the total. Oh well, I'm just getting the quote for now and fingers are crossed hoping it's much less. The problem was the location- if it had been on a flat part of the bumper they could have "blended" it which is not expensive but it's right around the curves of the fog lights so they have to remove and repaint the entire bumper.

THE GOOD NEWS!!

Mr. K. officially started back at work today. We have been anxious with the never ending winter which resulted in a 5 month seasonal lay-off. We usually anticipate 3 1/2 months so 5 was a big stretch. Thankfully Mr. K is handy and has been working renovating for the last month or so. He will continue to renovate my parent's basement on the weekends which will help us to catch up and get out of the red. YAY Mr. K! (Can't wait to have our house and give out that honey-do list)
