The Joys of Unanticipated Payments

As I have a weekly budget, I have set aside a certain amount for car maintenance. Michael and I both have cars that are 2007 models, so maintenance is somewhat limited. One vehicle went in for service last week which was anticipated although no fun to pay for. This week our second vehicle required a service- sooner than expected but we had a surprise trip in the past two weeks that resulted in an unexpected 1700km put on our second vehicle which resulted in it requiring service much sooner than budgeted. That was hard to swallow but I'd rather service our car as needed to keep it running well.

I got a call from the dealership this morning that there is some wear on my tires due to the alignment being off. :o( this means $220+ $215 and of course taxes. It's definitely hard to part with knowing we are already going to be in the red but it's necessary. I certainly don't want to pay to replace tires.
