Beyond ANXIOUS....

We applied for the Fairness Provision with Canada Revenue Agency for some outstanding taxes that Mr. K. had from not filing for 9 years. We expected a refund and instead ended up with a total owing of $25k ++ it was very disheartening, we have worked hard for the past year gathering all tuition, rent and other pertinent slips dating back to 2000. We have also made it our #1 debt priority and have paid many thousands to date. The final assessment is in...well sort of... they post date it and it appeared on file today. The real date is Monday, May 12th. So, I can't see what our account balance will be yet. It is currently around $10,180.00...but I'm super anxious as I calculated it will drop between $4-6k as we will be forgiving for interest and penalties... BUT when I review what I can see on line each tax year shows a balance of $0.00 OMG- I don't know if that will change between now and Monday but I am so anxious to see if they will call it paid!!! It would be so huge for us.
