I'm happy to report that today we were able to make an extra $431.57 payment towards our Government(CRA) debt. Mr. K worked everyday in the last two weeks which resulted in a whopping paycheck. I don't budget for a full paycheck as they only work when the weather is good so we cannot depend on that pay. I have an average figure that should be around the minimum which I believe includes about 1 rain day a week, which is quite feasible.
It is so exciting to see our debt really moving. Originally we had a payoff date of September 26th, but with this last payment we're looking at total payoff date of August 8th. That will only improve as extra money comes in- either in extra pay during good weather or work done at my parent's house.
I had applied for the perfect part-time job but I did not get it- I was sorely disappointed. So far, the extra money comes from Mr. K's contributions and I'd like to make extra on the side as it goes directly to debt pay off. I'll keep trying.
