Found an Answer to a Dilemna

As you know we opened up a no fee daily banking account, one of the issues I have been struggling with is that we have to keep our old credit line at our current bank. Our debt load is to high to be approved to move it. If we were to cancel our banking account I don't know how we would have access to pay it, be charged interest or if they would even let us close our bank account, etc. I found an answer!! RBC has a bank account that is $4.00/ month and allows us 15 transactions a month (that would cost us a fortune now) but as it will only be used to pay the credit line there would only be between 1-4 (maximum) transactions monthly. They have a multi-product rebate for this account and we qualify for this one-- you need to have investments and a rewards credit card- which we have, meaning the cost of the account is reimbursed at the end of the month-- so essentially a free account.

I'm so relieved to have figured this one out- it was a bit of a conundrum. If you're wondering about a multi-product rebate for our current account that costs $13.95- we don't qualify as we don't have a mortgage and even if we did the account would still be $9.95 a month.
