We knew that Mr. K's paycheck wouldn't be what it has been due to some inclement weather up here. We did end up with a $100 overage that we could shift over to our government debt. We're so close I can taste it!
After this $100 payment, our new account balance is $308.67!!!
PLUS- my payday is tomorrow so our next payment will be made tomorrow. I have to double check what I have budgeted for a payment- I believe it's $200.00, which would leave us with $114.67 (including interest). If I can get my mom to pay out Mr. K's work on the laundry room we could have this finished and balance showing complete by early to mid next week. It always takes the CRA website a few days to update the balance. This is so AWESOME!!!
One other hopefully fantastic thing--- the CRA is reviewing 2004-2006, we submitted rent payments and a donation. I don't know if it will make much of a difference but quite frankly if it's $20, it's $20 we didn't have before!! As we will likely pay off the debt before they finish their assessment- we will have to wait for a cheque in the mail. It takes up to 8 weeks to process reassessments and I don't know when they started...
I can't wait for next week... not sure how to celebrate?? maybe burn an old CRA balance?
