Still Going Strong

Things are still going well, we are staying on budget which is key.
We got a cheque from the CRA today $347.03 for reassessments that were completed after we finished paying off the debt we owed them. This was already worked into our budget and weekend away so unfortunately it isn't extra to put down on the Visa. But we knew that and it is what allowed us to take the time away.

There is some good news- Mr. K will be working on Friday afterall, he has been moved to a different job site. He may not be thrilled about the work but it's money in the bank.

Also, we calculated his hours and he is now eligible for company benefits- the application should be arriving in the mail today. Which is great since he has a dental cleaning in two weeks so it will be covered to whatever extent the plan is. We don't have any information at this time so...who knows.

I did end up cancelling my RSPmatic the other day so starting this week those payments will now be directed to our debt repayment plan. Which is anywhere from $160-$200 extra a month.

I was up for a raise quite a while ago and I'm still holding out waiting for my review- I will get the money retroactively- it just sucks as I will be using any and all increases towards debt and although I will get it, I'm paying the interest while waiting for the monies owed to be given to me.
