We met with the lady who is taking over the lease last night and we filled out all of the paperwork. She will be faxing her credit application and calling with her credit card number to pay to process the credit application. We are so excited that this will finally be completed.
We both managed to finish work at a decent hour last night and we went to 5 dealerships and test drove quite a few cars, some used and some of the base compact cars- we aren't sure whether to go with a used vehicle or the base sub-compact cars. We are considering the Nissan Versa and we're going to test drive a Ford Focus this weekend- Mr K's work gets a discount at Ford which they pass along to their employees so this may be a viable option- the gas mileage is really good on this vehicle as well.
Although we may be going closer to our $300 maximum going with the newer cars they will still be in our range save us at least $237/month- plus the insurance will be less- not sure what the insurance savings will be yet. If between the payment and insurance we can get a decent savings we will move forward with either the Focus or Versa.
