MOVING!!

MOVING
There are still a lot of things happening but tomorrow is the big move and I can't wait! I'll be staying in my parents spare room and fiancé will be in the basement for the next 7 weeks, then after we're married we'll take over the basement until our house is ready. YAY My parents are giving us a fantastic deal to stay at their house to give us an opportunity to pay more debt and save for closing costs. We are paying to stay with them but it's really not much.

UPGRADE UPDATE (HOUSE)
Well it turns out the the poor economy has worked mortgage interest rates in our favour, currently we could get 4.49% but there is another drop expected before we get our mortgage so our broker said we will be close to 4%!! What does this mean? It means that with all of our upgrades we will be paying less for our mortgage then we were going to be paying originally with no upgrades. It also means that the payments I budgeted for our mortgage are going to be less. Any extra room to save/ pay debt is great. We won't know the final outcome for another few months.

DEBT
Since we don't really have anymore wedding related payments due until the end of February and finished our house deposits (which will be our down payment), we can now start paying down the debt again- which is finally motivating. I am completely motivated by numbers!! So for the past two weeks we have made $700 payments. I get paid weekly so we pay down our debt on a weekly basis, it's so nice to see the numbers moving often and by large amounts. Obviously the debt will go back up in February but I'm going to savour this until then...
