We returned from an out of town visit to peek in our home that is being built, we knew that our tiles would be installed. Well, we got more than we bargained for they installed the wrong tiles- hideous!! there are snake patterns of orange and grey tile, I don't think I need say more...
Even WORSE:
There was a leak, started in our 2nd floor ensuite, went through the ceiling and walls and through the kitchen to the basement. All 3 floors were soaked- the drywall will be removed this week.
Still waiting to here what exactly the plan is for the tiles- fingers crossed.

Possible Early Move In Date
Okay so...
The original big bank we were with we had a deal to meet various commitments to qualify for our mortgage. Some made sense like paying down debt, getting rid of our car lease, but others were hurtful to us like changing our low rate interest only payment credit line into a higher rate loan with a payment of $700+ a month??
Needless to say we looked elsewhere and found a fabulous mortgage broker, our mortgage is already complete and ready to go where as the original bank still had criteria for us to meet.
Now that we have been approved and are ready to go we regret asking for the delay but how were we to know. We have contacted our customer care rep and asked for the earliest possible move in date. They will advise us at the end of the week as construction is on time but it all depends on the kitchen cabinet maker...
Fingers crossed we can move in for the end of July or beginning of August.

Credit Line Payment Today
Today we made our regularly scheduled $850 payment to our credit line! YAY
Our balance is now $42,500
Slowly but surely we will get there

Called for gas account, not sure is the deposit will be waived or not yet

Nice Big Payment Today!
I'm finally starting to get excited about our budget again- it hasn't been motivating since we've already been here but as we edge closer to that unchartered territory I get more excited.
Today we paid $900 to our credit line! YAY
